How it started, and how it's grown
The first Utah Women in the Money conference was held in 2019, launched by the Utah State Treasurer's Office and the Utah Financial Empowerment Coalition. The idea was simple: bring Utah's top financial minds into one room with the women who could use their knowledge most — and make sure no one left without a next step.
Over the years, the event grew from a single in-person gathering into a hybrid conference that reaches women across the entire state. That shift meant something important: the conference no longer required a full day away from work or family to benefit from it. Anyone, anywhere in Utah, could join.
Today, the conference draws over a thousand attendees each year — in person at the Salt Palace Convention Center and online — for workshops, keynotes, and connections that carry well past the closing session. What hasn't changed since year one is the belief that financial confidence is built in community, not alone.
